If you have never experienced a vishing scam, then this is the alert for you. You may want your friends and co-workers to listen too and see if they can spot why it is a scam. Be warned that this can happen with people using any accent from anywhere in the world if they have internet and phone access.
Whenever you get a call like this and if you suspect it is suspicious, proceed with caution. If the caller is not claiming to be from your actual provider, hang up. If they happen to know the name of your provider, call back on the official number or ask them to send you a letter since your provider usually has that information.
